What is Sport Management?

Sport Management includes the social and cultural dimensions of sport, management and leadership, ethics, marketing, communications, budget and finance, sport law, and video technology. This program prepares students for successful careers as sport business professionals.

Academic Programs

What Can I Do with a Sport Managment Degree?

A degree in Sport Management qualifies students for careers in sport marketing, sport management, sport administration, event/season promotions, sport journalism, sport broadcast, event/venue management, and ticket sales/customer service. Alumni of the program currently work with organizations including the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Tickets.com, university athletic departments, and fitness centers.

Major-specific activities and student organizations and clubs provide venues to make connections and build strong networks. Depending on personal interests and career goals, students may join a variety of clubs such as the Sport Management/ Exercise Science Club.
