Hello, New Students!

Orientation Hello

The Office of First-Year and Transition (FYT) engages and assists new students in developing a foundation of best practices and accountability for their academic and personal success at Fredonia. We seek to connect first-year and transfer students to resources, tools, and information that promote positive social behaviors and academic confidence. This office communicates directly with new students, parents, and the campus community via email and social media about support services, special events, campus policies, and university traditions.

Please contact Erin Mroczka, Director of FY&T Programs at (716)673-3271.

2015-2016 Student Handbook and
Living Guide

This handbook is intended to provide new students with detailed information about campus departments, resources, and policies during their transition to campus.

Priority registration essentially moves new Transfer students to the front
of the line and allows you to select classes alongside currently enrolled
students during the spring semester. Participating is very simple and
the benefits are huge! There are three things you need to do:

1.)Pay your deposit by March 31, 2016
2.)Complete the Course Scheduling Survey online in Your Connection
3.)Register for Summer Orientation after April 15, 2016

Once your schedule is built, you will receive a personalized email with
instructions on how to view your schedule and contact a faculty advisor
directly to answer any academic questions you may have. Should you
need to make changes to your schedule, you will be able to do so online
with approval from your faculty contact before May 13, 2016 or
in person during summer orientation on June 20, 2016.
